April and Nathan

We got to see our friends April and Nathan (and Asher and Zion) this past weekend. I am so thankful for good friends. It is always such an encouragement to be with them!

Luke and Zion responded so sweetly to each other...waving arms, poking at each other, and making laughing/squealing noises.

They motored around the house and yard using their unconventional crawling styles. Luke's gimpy scoot and Zion's "swimming" army crawl just make me smile for some reason!

The older boys had a blast together! Calvin and Asher especially played so well together. Asher taught Calvin how to really play RescueBots. We have 3, but have never seen the show. Now Calvin knows what he's been missing!

When we walked around the East Campus trail at Duke, Calvin and Asher ran for most of it. Calvin was like the tortoise....joggling slowly and efficiently the whole time while Asher, the hare, sprinted ahead and stopped, sprinted ahead and stopped. So funny to watch the two!
They found a magnolia tree with fallen leaves and flower pods on the branches and loved playing with the "metal" leaves, as they called them.

We also got to eat dinner at Full Steam Brewery, a surprisingly family-friendly place given that they only serve beer, and you have to bring your own food. The guys loved the live music and dry erase board to draw on.
